Aaliyah Dana Haaughton gained prominence after the release of the album she dubbed Age Ain't Nothing but a Number in 1994. When she was just 15 the album was awarded Gold standing. It was made as part of a group that was greatly in the style of R. Kelly and it put the singer in the spotlight.
