April Ross
April Ross has won more than one Olympic medal. Ross is among a few female beach volleyball players who have achieved this feat. Ross will compete in Tokyo for her 3rd Olympic medal with Alix Klineman, who is a first-time Olympian. Ross's dream is to earn her first Olympic Gold. It may well be that it is her last chance, at 39 years old. But she's convinced that top honors are firmly at hand. If we play our highest or do well, I believe we'll be able to win that gold medal Ross declared on NBC Boston. It's also going to be the result of luck. Ross, who was born 1982 and was raised in Costa Mesa California with her sister and parents, began playing the sports of the Newport Harbor High School. Apart from playing in numerous sports, Ross was also a student at Newport Harbor High School. Apart from playing indoor volleyball, she also ran track and basketball in her pre-college days. She was clearly the best at the sport of indoor volleyball. According to her bio, she was an outside blocker as well as a middle volleyball player during her senior year at high school. Gatorade Circle of Champions named her the national Player 1999. In 2000, the Orange County Athlete of the Month award was also won by her due to her volleyball skills. Ross Klineman and Ross may have begun working together at the beginning of 2017, but Ross had already been a seasoned player at the beach before they teamed up. In fact, she won several major championships while playing using two partners, one of which is the volleyball legend. Jennifer Kessy coached her from 2007 until the year 2013. Alongside Kessy Ross was a force on the international circuit winning a world title in 2009. They took home a Silver medal at the 2012 Olympic Games held in London. The Misty Maytreanor legendary team and Kerri Jennings took home the gold. It was fate that had them. Ross turned out to be Walsh Jennings' new partner as May-Treanor stepped down. They both went on to take home the bronze beach volleyball trophy in the Rio Olympics in 2016 along with Walsh Jennings. Ross participated in the USC Trojans in the college years following her graduation from high school. Ross's Trojans experience was remarkable. The year 2000 was her freshman year. earned her the Pac-10 and NCAA Freshman's of Year awards and be an All-American. The Trojans were also able to reach the Final Four with her help. She was devastated by a tragic incident in her second year, but she managed to become an All-American again. In her last two years, she took the Trojans up to the summit and took home consecutive national championships. In 2003-2004, Ross was named as the most successful collegiate female volleyball player in the US through The Honda Sports Award. Ross was a student at USC in International Relations. Margie Ross was never able to see her daughter's climb to the beach volleyball spotlight. Ross suffered the loss of her mother to breast cancer in the year 2001. Ross was then a sophomore. She has kept her parents close to her heart. Margie at the beach as well as in everyday life, inspires her.
