Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer well-known for his unique mixture of soul gospel, R&B and R&B. She has appeared on stages all over the world, from Broadway to The Democratic National Convention to the European club and festival scenes. Sunshine is the daughter of Denise White. She is originally from Chester Pennsylvania, where she started her musical career by playing the piano and singing at church. She attended Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her musical apprenticeship in the Atlanta's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The single featuring her voice, Stalk You a House 12, was released only in Japan. It has been remixed many times, and it is a mainstay of her live show. Also, she contributed to The Fighting Temptations soundtrack. She was the main pianist for Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy- as well as Tony Award winning vocalist who had worked on the stage production Dreamgirls at the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, contacted her to serve as the director of the choral group for this theatrical production. Sunshine was at the center of attention for America during the four performances per day at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine was later requested to sing with President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
